This Week's Question: Besides yourself, to whom do you attribute your educational success (by being here, you are educationally successful!) and why?

  1. I attribute my educational success to my parents. Since I was little my parents have always pushed me to succeed and have always helped me when I was having difficulties. They always wanted me to go to school and I am grateful for all of their love and encouragement.

  2. My parents and grandparents instilled a love of education in their children, for which I will be forever grateful. My graduate school mentor helped me realize that it's never too late to try again and just keep on going. My husband and children make all the effort worth the while.

  3. I attribute my educational success to my grandparents who have helped me financially to finish graduate school. School has been a personal goal for me and it is something that I want to do for myself and no one else, I feel like this makes it even better when you finish.

  4. I think my teachers have a lot of credit to take, because if they were not passionate about teaching then I would not have enjoyed school, and would not have wanted to continue my education, because they made it enjoyable, I wanted to find out more about things! Also I think my parents (and the rest of my family)are also worth mentioning because they never pushed me and were never disappointed if I didn't get an A, they just wanted me to do my best and not being forced into things by them has made me want to show them what I can achieve, and make them proud of me. (One reason of coming to America, to prove that I could make it on my own, and I have definitely done that!!!) I also like to set a good example to my younger brother and sister so if I do well then they will too do well and I can support them because I have already done it! :)

  5. I attribute my success to my family because they are the one's who have believe in me and have helped me and many different ways, some great teachers who have inspired me and have encourage me to continue and all the friends that I have encounter throughout my life. Being in college is the accomplishment of a group of amazing people that have served as a strong base for me during my academic journey.

  6. My DAD. I was messing around in school, so he took me to work with him. He was a plasterer and it was the worst 3 days ever. After that my dad asked if I was going to take care of business and get an education, which I answered "YES".

  7. I would attribute my educational success to my parents for always pushing me to do well and work hard. My flight instructor during flight school was also a big contributor because she made me feel like I was smart and could do anything and I finally learned that she was right, which makes a huge difference.

  8. My parents have always pushed me to go to college. Both my parents and grandparents have helped me pay my way through school, so I must say they have helped me most. I would also say the friends that have stuck by my side when I say I want to give up. Without their support I don't think I would be as far as I am now. Now, lets just hope I get through it (:

  9. This sounds really corny but I would have to say my boyfriend....I told you it was corny! I was never really pushed by my family in school so there for it was never a priority. Once we started dating he made me realize how important education is. Now not only has it become a major goal in life but it is also something I have come to enjoy.

  11. I would definitely say I wouldn't be in school today if it wasn't for my parents! Not only are they my on call, free babysitters that I trust completely with my son! They have been my emotional support team since I started school, you know since elementary school!

  15. My educational success 100% goes to both of my parents. Without them, I don't know where I would be, or how I would be able to afford college. They have paid for all of my education, and also motivated me along the way to be the best student I can be!

  16. I attribute my educational success to God, my mother, and my grandma who share a great dream with me. My mother as well as my grandma didn't have the opportunity to go to school and their stories and encouragement helped me all the way here.

  17. I think I have to say my parents are. Neither one of them went to college and always wish they would have. I use them as inspiration to finish what i started, and to also be the very first one to graduate from a university in my family. That to me will be a great accomplishment. :)
